Craigslist Lotto

Dang...

It was a wife that posted "Caught husband lying. I will be here all night giving all of his stuff away"

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned"

I actually got (and still have) a bass guitar from that section.
I clicked and some guy was giving it away to a good home.

He said I was the first responder and I went and got it.
Every now and then, you can find a gem hiding in the free ares.

I can see cheating.

But lying?

(And was he simply horizontal on a couch?)

You can get free or very cheap musical instruments in many places. People give instruments up all the time. Craigslist isn't a bad place to look. Neither is E-bay, but it will be cheap rather than free.

I scored a vintage King 2B trombone with a rumored (unverified) pedigree in 60s professional big bands (it's plausible and the serial number dates about right) for $100. I cleaned it up and gave it to my son to learn on. It's a VERY good trombone for a student, which is really helping motivate him. And it's quite small, appropriate for an 11 year old. For less than a new Chinese knockoff POS or even one of the annoying plastic ones. I only wish it had one of the silver bells, but you can't have everything. :D

I called and asked (while most of the stuff was pretty much gone, just some pictures still hanging on the wall).
She said her husband said he was going to the neighbor's to help him fix the lawnmower but when she called an hour later, both husbands were nowhere to be found. The neighbor supposedly visits a nearby gentlemens' club pretty often on a whim.
So the wife got ****ed beyond reason and gave all his toys away.
What a surprise when he returned home. You have no idea.
He brought her a huge bouquet of red roses (hand picked and cut from a florist) for her birthday that was the next day.
I feel bad for the guy. He is supposedly setting up a GoFundMe account to buy all his stuff back.
He must really love her ...

Wait, y'all mean I fooled some smart people into thinking that I knew what I was talking about?
Wow, sounds like my checkrides all over again. :D

Yes, the non-hand-picked roses are the ones you find in regular stores from mass-production suppliers. Hand-picked ones are rare and pricey, just like double-malt whiskey. :D
