Yesterday I watched the cyclists in the Tour of California race move through town. As the crowd of locals were waiting for the cyclists to trudge up the big hill I smiled as the young girls next to me were ringing their little cowbells. Then when the riders hove into view all the cowbells came out. Wow! That's a lot of cowbell. Made me think of Elizabeth.

Tonight, the local NBC station had a little pre-Olympic thing highlighting the history and use of cowbells at sporting events. One of the announcers actually said they had a fever for cowbells and there should be more cowbells. I was laughing pretty hard. Made me think of Elizabeth.
