Correct Cables for Recording Headset Audio?

I'm setting my GoPro up inside the cockpit and also a SONY ICD-PX333 digital audio recorder.

Want to make sure I have the right cables in my Amazon shopping cart. Is this the most appropriate forum to post them on, for advice from someone who has done it before?

Let me know and I'll post the links. Just don't want to flood with links unnecessarily.

I'm using an original GoPro Hero HD, without an audio-in.

My setup was going to be:

Cable 2 is a mono to stereo cable. Could create problems.

Recommend sticking with the cable acropilot linked to. It will put the audio on the correct pins for the GoPro to record since the mic is a mono signal even though that is technically a stereo connector.

You can use your camera audio as ambient. Just make sure you lower the volume of the engine with whatever video editor you're going to use. Also remember that for longer flights, you'll probably have to speed up your audio by .01% since many video recorders record at 29.97 FPS.
