Fun!

My neck hurts after a day of towing. I'm not as flexible as I used to be, and trying to look over my shoulder to verify the glider has released gets to be a lot of work, especially with the full harness keeping me from turning my shoulders very easily. Add in all the head-on-a-swivel time and it starts getting wearing.

he was towing at the biggest regional contest in the country. something like 50-60 gliders at Perry, it always is full. Good thing he was keeping an eye out! Neat video too.

I noticed that when he was landing... quite a few gliders stack-parked for takeoff!

Hi Guys,

One of my good friends who used to live here in NJ is now the owner and a resident of Dry Swamp Airport (1DS) where they took the tow planes in this video. I think he tows with one of his planes for this event also. Was cool to see his airport in the video. Looks like a great event.
