Considering a new insurance company. I already cancelled my AOPA membership.

I've used Assured Partners for the last Dozen plus years. They are the AOPA-endorsed, cash-related, whatever aircraft insurance company.
I've already cancelled my AOPA membership. Probably time to keep pulling my money away from them.
Who else do you recommend?
1993 Socata Tampico. Four-seat, fixed gear, fixed pitch SEL with a 180HP O-320 in it.

I too have been with AOPA's Assured Partners, but my AOPA membership expires in two day and on my next insurance renewal, I will be getting a quote from Avemco. AFAIK, they are the only insurance company that does not work through broker, so I may also get a quote from some other broker as well. I'll wait to see what kind of replies you get in that regard.

I'm due this summer.

We had Avemco until recently. They were 30% higher than Old Republic thru Assured for like declarations. Avemco’s liability is also per person, not per passenger, so keep in mind how that impacts the payouy if there’s a non-passenger involved.

Assured is a brokerage owned by Gallagher and I’m not sure what their financial relationship is with AOPA other than partner affiliation.

I started out with Avemco as they were significantly cheaper when I bought my plane. After a couple years and a few hundred hours, they were no longer competitive so I switched.

I'm honestly not certain who my actual carrier is...I have a broker who I really like and every year she brings me the best couple of quotes and we choose who to go with. I think it's been the same company for a few years. I've kind of found with all my insurance that your broker is the most important relationship; if you have a problem, a good broker will go to bat for you. With Avemco, you're on your own, although I haven't heard anything bad about them, and the folks there were very nice and willing to educate a new pilot.

I deal with Facer insurance; they are local to me, but I think they can sell anywhere. Several other recommended brokers around if you search a little bit, too.

I can, but I'm not sure why I'd use AOPA when there are other options. AOPA is toxic and needs to be isolated and ostracized.
Also, most companies I've found will offer a (small) discount to AOPA OR EAA members. Probably enough to pay for an EAA membership if you aren't already.

I did the same with Avemco but a friend put me onto A.I.R. which is now Acrisure. They found me a policy with Global that has been the best offering for the last few years. The rate is very reasonable for both liability and hull.

I went with Sanford & Tatum out of Lubbock. I like having a person I can call if I have an issue or a question.

+1 for Acrisure

Yep ... that's my go to lady! I should have added her name to my post above. Whenever I call for any reason they are right there to answer any questions and meet requests.
