Competitive Eating?

Well, we have a world champion when it comes to stuffing your face with Krystal burgers. Joey Chestnut won with 103 burgers in ten minutes. He apparently also won over a "six-time defending champion" at Nathan's by chomping down 56 hot dogs.

He's listed on Wikipedia, with a long list of accomplishments. His parents must be proud. In the same page, I discovered there's even an International Federation of Competitive Eating.

I have two questions...
1) What was the gain to Chattanooga revenue by hosting today's competition? It must be huge!
2) How much revenue did ESPN gain from covering such a noteworthy event?

Okay, it's back to that redneck car race here in Hampton, Jawjuh. I gotta quit the channel chasing during commercials.

I live here and have no idea:dunno:

Krystal hosts competitions here all the time. I should go watch one someday.

They host one of the competitive eating contests right in your backyard (Stone Mountain) but I can't remember what the food was. Maybe you can go and get his autograph. There's also a young petite girl that competes and does very well.
