We have a fuel tank that 7 aircraft share. We use the honor system and write it down gallons pumped on a clip board. I received an email for a company called FluidFortress. It's a cloud based device that attaches to your tank and allows you to get fuel through a mobile app. Has anyone used this system on their community tank?

We are using a clipboard where you fill out tail number, name and gallons pumped. Plus we have to go inside and turn on electricity to the pump, then turn it off and lock up.
This email said device turns ful on and off with mobile app. Records date time tail number and gallons pumped.
Just wondering if anybody has one and would like a review on it.

Is it free, in exchange for the data they collect? Is it easily overridden when there is an outage? What happens when the company goes TU and their internet-of-sharty-things device stops working?

Well that, and not having to manually turn the pump on and off I guess.
If there is an outage then it has 3 days of back up battery. If power is out pump won’t work. Unit is 250 bucks and 40 dollars a month subscription fee. I looked at their app and software. The reporting is pretty cool. There is 7 of us so 6 bucks a month for subscription is cool. It’s around 40 bucks each to buy it. So if company craps out I guess we are not out much. What is cool is you can hit a few buttons and bill out each pilot. No more paper. I think we are going to try it. I will give an update.

Any honor system, with the best of users, will leave the provider short fuel at some point down the road.

I received an email. I guess it was an email blast. My buddies got one too. Some other pilots on the field got an email.
Thought about that too. If that where to happen they have a bypass option.
