250hours minimum pilot type for the Commercial rating, with the 100 hours in aircraft, did you do all 250hours in a powered aircraft or did you type something else? Recommendations on fun cool new things to try that are logable in the logbook?

I'd think most people do all of the 250 hours in powered aircraft. The only other options are gliders and hot air balloons, which, while fun, probably aren't an efficient way to build hours. (Gliders could be once you're rated, but probably not if you're starting from zero glider time.)

Do you have 50 hours of XC with one solo cross-country flight of not less than 300 nautical miles total distance, with landings at a minimum of three points, one of which is a straight-line distance of at least 250 nautical miles from the original departure point?

Do you have 5 hours in night VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs and 10 landings (with each landing involving a flight in the traffic pattern) at an airport with an operating control tower.

Do you have the complex, high performance and tail wheel endorsements? (20 hours)

Do you have time in a TAA?

Do you have a multi engine class rating? You can do the training now and count the hours toward the 250 and then add the multi to your commercial cert. (10 hours)
