I saw it! Spectacular display of our planetary system giving up yet another secrete.

Predictably, nothing but gray up above here tonight. No chance of seeing it until, if we're lucky, Thursday night. More likely in two weeks or so.

In the Atlanta metro area, it took me a pair of 10x50 binoculars. Not a big object, and with the ambient light in the area and the dusky conditions, there was no way I could see it with the naked eye. Tonight, it was about a thumb's width above the Western horizon at 8:30 Atlanta time.

given that the comet sets about 63 min after sunset and that the last 20 min it will not even be visible in the haze - you will not be able to log it as night . . .
