Not too soon ... in fact way later than it should be, in my opinion. I was sick of summer after the first 30 days of high 90°s - about 4th of July, I think.
We’re in a significant drought, the state is burning up (beetle kill trees that were not cleaned up more than lack of precip, again in my opinion) but bring on the snow - it’s welcomed!!!!!!
