[denverpilot]

12 miles from FTG

Very little detail as I post this. CBS said "Piper" with no additional type info.

Sheriff is guarding the aircraft awaiting arrival of Federal investigators tonight.

Any more information about this?

Hanven't seen anything, but going out to FTG on Thurs or Friday, will see what the gossip is.

The airplane was a Piper Arrow. The pilot had a home at VanAire. He was someone I knew and was quite experienced.

Very sorry for the loss of your friend.
This pilot wasn't someone I know, but that doesn't diminish the loss. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

[Anthony]

That is too bad.
