So some may know others have not that I have chatted with...

Water in your gas may not only be separated “bubbles” of water but appear as cloudy... I did not know this...

On a recent long trip my old gal stumbled in the pattern, and I just continued my pattern as if she went quiet I fly tight patterns I cudda just glided in... and it was a very slight short stumble... happened once more on short short final...

Sumping tanks the one was cloudy... no bubbles of water... took 6 sump cups and all was clear again. I took off on opposite tank n burned the tank that had had the cloudy in it damn near dry once in cruise just to ensure it got sucked in at altitude if there was any left...

Googled it and there’s an FAA publication about water showing up as cloudy avgas... so just FYI boys n girls that’s one thing to be looking for in a sump... cloudy means water as much as separated water

Thanks, I didn't know this. I always hold the sump up to the sun to get a good view of its transparency and contents.
