Since my early AF days, vision tests using the “box” have been a struggle. Any way to find out before visiting an AME if he uses the “vision box” or a Snellen wall chart? Any recommendations in Texas? Thanks!

Along with that, my AME (20+ years of airline Class Ones) recently passed away. Any suggestions for Flight Docs in central Texas (Austin, San Antonio, etc) area? Snellen chart is still important). Thanks
