Contemplating purchasing an SR22 in 2021. Was hoping to get checked out and then do some rentals near home. Finding most require 25-50 hours in make/type before eligible for rental. Does anyone know of anyplace in this area a bit less? Maybe thats the norm.
Are their CFI's not staying busy enough? Previously I've seen 10-15 hours, or just the successful completion of the Cirrus transition program; which takes 10-15 hours. That was years ago though. Maybe insurance has changed. Maybe the increase in insurance premiums are driving them to pay less and that drives coverage requiring more time-in-type hours.
