I was wondering on how often you have to repack the parachute for the SR20 and how much it would cost?

I forgot the what year the plane was but the parachute was packed in 2010.

Then it is good till 2020, age of the plane makes a difference, the first gen planes require removing the hatch on the outside of the plane, then regluing and repainting it and can run into the five figure range. On the G2 and newer it can be removed from the baggage compartment and the cost is MUCH cheaper

A couple of things:

The next chute repack will be more expensive because Cirrus is going to electronic ignition system. The conversion is a one time cost. It's being driven by the rocket manufacture.

Chute repacks are like annuals. You have to ask what work was done and what extras were done. It's common to buff out the paint, repaint, new vinyl stripes and N numbers, and other cosmetic work that is not part of the repack.
