After a record number of cancellations, I went out this morning in the SR20 to work on TPW and landings. It was cold as all get-out, but I needed this. Winds were moderate--15G20 with up to a 50 degree crosswind. But what impressed me is how little the gusts, bumps, and crosswind factor mattered.

"Just make it look right" was my old CFI's admonition; but doing it in the SR20 is a piece of cake.

The Cirrus is a nice handling plane, I just wish they wouldn't have left her feet out in the wind....

I have thought of that. Amazing, for example, that the SR20 easily gets 150 kts, with a wide cabin, on only 200 hp! If the gear could fold, that might get up to 160 or a bit more.
