CHT Probe Type

I have an Electronic International engine analyzer and one of my CHT probes is beginning to buy the farm. My mechanic sent the attached JPeg image which I forwarded to Electronic International - problem is that they don't recognize the probe. they "think" it's a CHT/Tanis type combination probe. There is a heater on the engine, but living in the southwest, I haven't needed it and am unfamiliar. Any help appreciated in identifying the probe ... thanks.

Definitely looks like it could be the Tanis probe/heater. They have a few models on their webpage. Did you clean the crud off the part right close to the probe and see if there's a part number?

It is threaded all of the way down. Didn't they make a cylinder mounting stud heater at one time?

That looks like it is just a Tanis heating element, not the combination probe. Are there only two wires coming off of it?
