A while ago I saw a video of a cherokee six with what appeared to be spoilers that deployed on landing all along the trailing edge, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this peculiar modification? is it Horton STOL?

EDIT: Horton does not offer mods for PA32's

If the ailerons deploy as flaperons, that would be the Robertson STOL kit.
 
Why would you need spoilers on a Cherokee 6???

Thing drops like a rock when you pull the throttle to idle.

Because they aren't spoilers (drag devices on the top of the wing) they are flap extensions using the ailerons. The difference is one reduces lift and the other increases lift. They are about flying 15kts slower (if you have enough power to spare). If you think a Cherokee 6 handles like a truck, you should fly one with a fully deployed Robertson STOL kit, but you get slow and short with it out there.
