Pre-takeoff checklist
I don't see that anyone else has posted on this yet, so I'll start the thread.
Synopsis: On 2/26/25, a Cherokee 235 flown by a non-instrument-rated pilot with two of his family members on board entered inadvertent IMC over mountainous terrain in Vermont, the pilot became spatially disoriented **and** picked up icing, they crashed in the mountains, and somehow all three lived to tell about it.

(I apologize for the link being on Facebook. I couldn't find any other post for it. I don't have FB and I can view the video fine, so hopefully everyone else can, too. Note that sound starts muted by default and has to be unmuted manually.)
I am going to hold back any of my own commentary for now and just let the pilot's testimony speak for itself.
