Some of the guys on the field bought a Lark a couple of years ago in a four-way partnership. The rest of us did everything we could to talk them out of it. But as it turns out it's been a perfect airplane for them to build time in and it looks like it performs well (I've never flow it). Ugly as a mud fence, but even the look has sorta grown on me. I mean, really, a 180 HP four seat airplane with less than 2,000 hours for under $25K. I'm wondering if the Lark isn't an overlooked and under valued option.

IIRC it has a fairly common engine...the issue would probably be getting airframe parts if required. On the up side, no one to issue SBs or push for ADs.

What airframe parts don't you think are available?

I talked to an owner of one of these. He said his mechanic made any parts he needed. The engine is a plain ole O-360, IIRC.
