Chat?

Jesse and I will be discussing replacement options. Flashchat has now outlived its usefulness. For a $5.00 piece of software, it had a good run.

I'd prefer a solution that doesn't require any special connections, like a simple html chat system, but I suspect instead we'll end up with an IRC style chat. Knowing jesse, probably with an advanced bot system able to serve non-alcoholic drinks and grill burgers.

I'm looking for a replacement right now.

I have a chat server running if anyone wishes to use it until something is back up here. It's IRC. The program is bircd running on an old Win98 machine but it works. I use it for private chats fequently.

It's at 216.170.15.171 port 6667

It doesn't have registration or a set room list .. just make one on the
fly going in.

I cant seem to get in. Oh well.

I just tried it this morning and it's working. And it was working last nite.
It's not a browser interface .. you'll need mIRC or Pirch or XChat .. an
IRC client. When you get in just type /join channelname ... like
/join #hangartalk

To see a list of channels just type /list

Chuck, Jesse,

Thanks for taking the time to update us over on the PB on what happened. If we ever find any issues with software that could be relevant to you, we'll be sure to reciprocate.

Glad POA is back up!

Well, I am now the op on #hangartalk on Roger's server, and will rule all. :D
