I've not been in to KIPJ but have been over it many time when heading home from KJQF. Use flight following and you'll probably be able to go direct. You will have to pay close attention to the nice tall towers out by Lincolnton. Your well west of the city and parallel with the airline traffic, should be a piece of cake. Have fun.
 
I only have experience flying into JQF, no issues and CLT approach was good to work with.
 
I go to IPJ for fuel but I don't know if they have a crew car. You should call them. I know SVH has at least one as I have used that. I don't know which direction from IPJ you need to go. I have a place on NC26 (between SVH and IPJ). Fuel will definitely be cheaper at IPJ.
 
can't speak for IPJ as I have not flown there yet.
