Changing DPEs BEFORE checkride

I have scheduled a check ride with a DPE. He's inquired as to my cert number, 8810, etc. The airplane I would fly is broken and no target date for the repair is set. I belong to a club which has airplanes I can rent for the check ride but it was suggested that I use the club affiliated DPE so I don't have to do a separate instrument check out. If I change DPEs now, am I causing any difficulties?

Nope, I don't see any problem, just cancel as soon as you can after you know the new guy will take you and tell the old guy what happened. Give him time to fill the slot and he shouldn't care.
