CFI looking for advice and possible opportunities

[monairpilot]

Hi everyone,

I’m a newly certified CFI and currently preparing for my CFII checkride. I’m looking for my first flight instructor position and am open to relocating anywhere in the United States.

I’m an international student who will be working through OPT, so I will have a limited unemployment period once my work authorization begins. Because of that, I’m trying to be proactive and connect with other instructors, flight schools, and pilots who may know of upcoming opportunities.

For those who recently found their first CFI job, what worked best for you? I would also really appreciate any leads, introductions, or recommendations for schools that may be willing to consider a new instructor.

I’m happy to share my résumé and additional details privately. Thank you for any advice or help.

Monairpilot, I'm sorry that I can't offer any assistance, but I do want to compliment you on your attention to spelling, grammar, and punctuation. For an employer seeking a CFI, your post creates a favorable impression.

Good luck to you.
