So which one would be more liable. A multithousand hour ATPL pilot without being a cfi or a low time know it all cessna 172 CFII? when it comes to liability or the blame game people will do anything to get it away from them.

There is no simple answer. It would depend on what happened, what was agreed before flight, and what each did during the flight, as well as the legal venue in which ghe question is raised. There is just no way to provide any a priori answer to that question.
