I have a 172 with old Skybolt cowling fasteners that have two 1/2 inch rubber bumpers in each receiver mounted to the firewall. Skybolt no longer sells these and doesn't have the bumpers in stock anymore. They seem to be a standard off-the-shelf item with a part number of 4271 or some variant thereof.
First, does anyone know where I can get 50 - 100 of these?
Second, I have found a place that will sell me 500 but I won't live long enough to use them all. Does anyone else need some? I hate to spend the money for 500 just to watch 400 of them sit on a shelf and rot.
