Tangentially related, but back in the early 90's I played golf at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii. One of the tee boxes was less than 100 yards from a taxiway at Honolulu airport that saw a lot of 747 traffic. There was a very large sign next to the tee box that said "WARNING: it is illegal to hit golf balls at airplanes!" Presumably someone did that at least once, and probably more than once.
