Cessna 185 IO-550D Conversion

I don't know about this particular conversion, but I'd suggest that you'd want to get a good engine monitor, too, if you don't already have that, to help protect your investment in the more valuable engine.
 
Tom Clements in PHX bought the IO conversion from Great Plains. He loves it.

I have the 470-50 conversion on a C-180 and find it to be a tremendous improvement over the original 230 hp models. Injection would be nice, but requires an upper cowl re-do in order to accommodate the mechanism.
