Two people died in a crash,at Hampton airfield NH ,the field was celebrating an annual event,with flower drops.

Ouch, I know a guy who flies a 180 around here. They're not a near enough acquaintance to go poking around but sure hope they're OK

Sad to hear, I flew J-3s at Hampton in the early 80s.

Most people with big airplanes had problems with the short runway. But a C-180 should not have had a problem with the short runway.

Hopefully the incident was not involved with the flour (flower?) drops.

Sounds like a very experienced, competent pilot. Have to believe it was mechanical or medical. Sad how what promises to be such a fun day can turn so tragic so quickly, and something we should all keep in mind as we fly. Condolences to the families involved.
