She's already flown around the world solo, in her Mooney. A couple years ago, I took my daughters to hear her presentation at a local EAA meeting. She mentioned wanting to do it a second time, the "other way". Looks like her plans are under way again, but this time she's flying with another lady, and they're trying to set (shatter) a world record... around the world in 7 days, with an average speed over 140 mph (the current record is 54.6 mph, set in May 1988 in a Bonanza).

She's a remarkable woman, I'm excited to keep an eye on this new adventure! As before, she's raising money for ALS (Lou Gehrigs) research... her mother died from it before her first trip.
 
awesome. saw her speak in Ames one night and had a great chat with her and some other flying friends at supper afterwards.
 
All that's keeping me from flying around the world is money. If I had that much disposable income...
