Car Seat in SR20 (pre-LATCH)?

hi - I've been renting a 2nd gen SR20 (pre-installation of the LATCH system) and would like to start bringing my 2-yr old along. Problem is that I'm not sure how to secure the seat (Chicco nextfit) into the 5-point harness and don't see anything helpful online yet. Anyone have experience with this?
 
Just strap down a crate, works for the pilots n paws crowd.
 
UGH, just did this in a cherokee with a lap belt... Had to really rig it to get the seat solid.
 
I’ve read you can get a seat belt extension. The extension fits through a car seat. I’ve managed to get a Cirrus through the back of a car seat, but it’s a royal PITA, both to get on and get off on some of them; I do Angel Flight missions.
 
Curious- does Cirrus address fitting out a car seat in their POH at that time? When did they start adding LATCH points?
