Can't change profile picture

I REALLY want to delete my profile picture. It's killing me.

When I go to User CP it doesn't even show the current one.

I uploaded a new avatar. I've tried various sizes, jpeg and gif, upload from a URL, two different browsers. Delete the old one. Deleted attachments to make space.

I see the new picture but I get "Upload of file failed" when I do the last Save Changes. AND it keeps showing

Please delete it.

Use the one attached below which is the right size AFAIK.

Yep. Wow. I never noticed.

It still doesn't explain why I kept getting "Upload failed."
