When I was your age we had luggable sewing-machine sized portables (not laptops). And we carried them 5 miles to work and back each day. In the snow. Uphill. And sat on the generator bike to make the electricity to power them!

Yeah, we had wheels, but we had to carve them out of granite ourselves, so they tended to be anything but round. Actually, as I recall it, they hadn't invented round yet; they were more of an oblong shape!Did they wheels when you were a kid? It thought those were invented later.
I already got it on my Lenovo X61, plus it's a daylight viewable screen.
