I was looking at some A32’s (as they cruise faster than the A22’s), and they seem to range within the low to mid $100ks. While that ain’t cheap, most of them are only a few years old. I could buy a 50+ year old Cessna or Piper for around half that, but in the long run it can (and probably will) cost more to buy an older cheaper plane versus buying a much newer one. Does anyone have any experience flying or even owning one? What is the parts availability like? Are parts expensive compared to Cessna/Piper parts? They use Rotax engines so finding an A&P could be an issue as well as finding one for the airframe.

I have had a ride in one. Very impressed with the performance and the instrument panel.
What was the cruise? I’ve read the Vixxen can cruise 110 kts on 5 gph, but I’m not sure how accurate it is.

I don't recall the cruise speed but after the pilot dropped me off to pick up a Cherokee Warrior we flew a loose formation home and he easily matched my speed.

Not sure that the a32 over the a22 is worth the difference in price. I have a friend that flys an a22 and he flys it several days a week, very economical, better fuel burn than say a Cessna 150

The A32 reportedly cruises faster, around 15-20 kts more.

I have flown in one, and what I remember is the awesome, helicopter-like visibility you get from the cockpit.
