I am adding another tablet to the plane and wondering if one of my bluetooth gps's can be shared by 2 tablets or if I need another separate gps.

It's treated like a serial port on most OS's. I'm sure the spec allows for something smarter, but not often implemented.

The new Bad Elf Pro can support five devices IIRC.

Cheers

It's theoretically possible according to the BT standard. Whether the GPS itself supports it is anyone's guess. Still, I would say try to before buying another GPS. Hey, you never know.

If you are staring at two different tablet devices in the cockpit, wouldn't that sort of impact your ability to see other traffic and terrain and crap like that?

I am staring at an EFIS, a 430, A TF700 running Anywhere map, an ipaq running mountainscope, a 496 with XM WX, and adding an ipad mini running xavion, and in the soup none of that crap matters.
