Okay, I'm going to share my best little tip with all of you lucky bastards...

This is a two part'er. The first part is that if you use LogBook Pro on your iPad or iPhone then you can have it send all the flights you do to your calendar on your iPad or iPhone. It's pretty cool.

Second (and way cooler) is there is a website out there called ifttt.com and it stands for "IF This Then That". What it does is marry all of your online stuff together. You control what it does and doesn't do.

For example, IF you star a gmail message THEN it will send it to Evernote. Or,IF you change your FaceBook avitar THEN it will update your Twitter avitar too. Or, IF it's 11:59pm on Dec 31st THEN it will auto tweet 'Happy New Year'. Or IF you checkin on foursquare THEN it will add that to your calendar.

That last one is the one I'm speaking of in this thread. I use foursquare. It's a check in social network service. You check in to places and you get points and tips and can see what your friends recommend. It's pretty popular. Anyway, using ifttt.com, whenever I check in on foursquare that checkin goes to my calendar as well.

So now, on my calendar I have ALL of my filghts and every FBO, restaurant, mall, bowling alley, movie theater, police station, doctors office....where ever I check in. It's a super way to keep a log of where I've been in life and I control it. Best of all is after a few minutes to set it up it takes ZERO effort to maintain and I get a cool calendar with an awesome record.

I should also mention all of this if free except the LogBook Pro sync service.

Here's some pics of what the end product is. Here's my iPad calendar:

All those blue things are my flights and all the green ones are my foursquare check ins. Of course I can tap on any one of them and they expand and give all the detail of the event. I can also turn off the flight and foursquare layer if I don't want that info displayed.

Enjoy...

Nobody thinks it's cool to have an automatic digital record of every place you've been? Broken into flying and 'other'?
