The '56-'58 C182/182A came out without cowl flaps. I've done all the searching I can find and cannot find an STC for cowl flaps. Anybody got a clue.

Also, the C120/140 had a "summerization" kit that was nothing more than a bent strip of aluminum that you put on the rear bottom of the cowl to suck more air through the cylinders. Try as I might, I can't find this option for the early 182s.

Yes, they run DAMNED hot in the summertime with any sort of decent climb in a hot region.

Will the later cowl with flaps fit? Might be an easy Field Approval package... Alternatively, it seems pretty easy to add the strip on a 337. Especially if you can find the parts in a Cessna IPB.

Those louvers look like a permanent installation. Is there a way to block them off in the winter?
