First off - Thoughts and prayers for the 9 crew onboard... Looks like no one had a chance.

Not sure that this has been posted here, but when I came home last night and flipped on the TV news I saw this video (ff to ~20 seconds in):

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/savannah-plane-crash-today-2018-05-02-live-updates/

And said to my wife "Holy ****!" the newscaster said the C130 had just departed KSAV. Seeing that video I said "My God, that looks like exactly what they warn/train all us pilots to avoid - a departure stall/spin"

Now, low time PPL here... but thats what it LOOKED like, and the spin is already developed by the time the plane is in view. I kinda doubt the pilots spaced out, held back on the yoke and thats what actually happened. Could be any number of other things - Stuck control surface, loss of control (Hydraulics?), bird strike into the cockpit, simultaneous engine out on the same wing, etc.

Just wanted to post and see what the kind folks on POA have to say.

Sorry - I did look - not good enough apparently. Admin please delete this thread...
