Spent $315 for 15 shares in 1950. Never sold. Company became known as Safeco Insurance. Stock has had 9 splits. She won't say how much it's worth now, but 1 share then is worth more than 1000 now thanks to the splits, and Safeco stock closed at $64.21 on Wednesday, so it's worth over $950,000 now, likely over $1M since that doesn't include re-invested dividends.
She's passing it on to her daughter and two grandkids, intact. I need a gramma like that!
