Our local airport (KFCM) had their annual Air Expo and I was drafted into giving air tour rides, again. This year we used a Cherokee Six 300 which was nice since you could take some entire families. Over the two days we made 28 flights averaging 15-20 min. each, 8.4 flight hours, carrying exactly 100 passengers comprised of 51 adults and 49 kids. The best part of these events is giving the controls to a kid and watching their eyes light up. I think we will have some future pilots out of this event. Also rekindled the desire in some adults who had once aspired to fly, but either quit or never followed their dream.
After being in the Six pretty much non-stop from 10:30 am til 4:30 pm today, I taxied back, jumped in a Cherokee 140 and flew with a student til 6:30. Long day. I'm tired...and sore!
