What do you know about them?

I saw them at Osh a couple years ago and took a bunch of photos cause they were oddly affordable, and at the time I thought "that'd be nice someday".

And now there's one for sale by me and I've entertained the idea of getting it (if I can work on it as an experimental and LSA).

Anyone have thoughts on them?

I think you should head over to 10c and talk to aerosport.

Dad's former partner flew in one and wasn't keen on the fit and finish.

I loved the modular nature of them. Fabric worn out? Want a different color? Zip on a new set of coverings. Sadly I think the company went out of business, or at least stopped building them. I meant to go look at them at osh, but never got around to it. Somehow I don't think I'd fit anyway.

Iirc @rhkennerly has one.

pretty sure they aren’t operating in the us anymore as Jim mentioned.

One of the three aircraft I’ve flown that I didn’t really enjoy flying.

I looked at these because of their quick “buildability”. It was more of an assembly process rather than a build. Unfortunately I never got around to flying one. It looked fun to fly.

On YT there is Bushcat Tom. His videos start with the build. Corny as all get out, but interesting.

Looks like they moved to South Africa.

They've always been built in SA. Here's the announcement I remembered seeing.

Now I'm interested in what the other 2 were

Every time I see one of these LSA threads, I want one.

Until I see the price.

So are you getting a bushcat or not?
No...
It was kind of an impulse to talk to the seller, albeit based on a feeling I've had for a while. I would like to have an experimental so I can have fun working on the plane, and having a low+slow plane I could take out to unimproved fields is pretty appealing.
But this wasn't the right opportunity (partly because of the seller, but also because I don't like buying an out of production foreign made aircraft that probably won't have parts for long).

EDIT: Also I should add the comments here on the thread weren't exactly charitable towards them either :)
