Hello. I have what I believe are stock sun visors in my 1982 Piper Arrow. Unfortunately hinge on the copilot side was too stiff and I had a passenger cracked and broke the old brittle plastic easily. Of course new Rosens are an option for $ hundreds. Just thought I'd check on here to see if anyone happens to know of one laying around, suggestions on where to look, or more options for new.

Pic to show the style that's in there. It's just the copilot side that's now broken.

Thank you, JL

Well hey Alberto, we can make a deal! Which way do you want it to go?

The copilot is 65866-00, PAST makes a PMA'd replacement for $269. Some salvage places like BAS and Texas Air Salvage have some sets of L&R for less than that, but look a bit beat up (and the pilot side ones vary a lot by model due to the printing on them).

Mine is the pilot's side, 1980 Turbo Arrow IV.
Is it the same as yours?

Rosens all the way. First change any new plane gets. Expensive because they are worth it. New Cessnas have them stock for example.

Rosen. Buy once, cry once.

Great product.
Agreed. I put Rosen's on my Navion and have never regretted the issue. I did have to buy a new plastic blade when I shut the canopy on one that was flipped up, but most people aren't going to have to worry about that.

I happen to be close to Wentworth Aircraft salvage and was driving right past there today anyway. So I ended up purchasing a replacement from them. Quite the operation. Thanks POAers!
