Brand New laptop, IE7 already giving me problems

I just got a brand new HP laptop and since I have first used it IE7 has been giving me problems. Everytime I close out a window, IE7 crashes. It's really making me mad. I can only have one window open at a time or a few open but can't close any out. Is there any idea to what is going on? What should I do?

Drive by spyware. Run a good scan.

I think one university lab showed that a new Windows installation would be infected before the updates could be downloaded...in less than 20 minutes.

I'd suggest setting the internet options to block all third party cookies and prompt for first party. Having automatic cookie acceptance has been a killer on most machines.

This was happening before I was able to get online. Had some problems with that, but its been taken care of. It crashed while I was tring to see if I could get online.

It is a problem with an IE7 add-on. Let me know when you have some spare time. We can start a remote session that will 'share' your screen with me. It should be pretty simple to fix.
