A) My Bose pairs fine with my iphone SE iOS12.1.4
However it will only work with the telephone, not with music. Normal function?

B) Neither headset will pair with my ipad also on iOS12.1.4
I have tried a hard reset of the ipad. No other device is in range or recognized (I turned the phone's BT off for this test)

Thought I'd heard people say they can get Foreflight's audio through the headset.

The Bluetooth Bose A20's that are a few years old will not stream music.
The newer A20's will stream music.
If your control box has a phone symbol for the bluetooth button you need to use a cable for music.
If your control box has the bluetooth symbol for the bluetooth button it will stream music wireless.
Most A20's on the used market are the older style bluetooth.
Try a Lightspeed....

Bose says to hold down the pairing button on the headset for 12 secs.... and that did fix the ipad connection.
But I still cannot hear ipad music in the headsets. Wondering if any audio can be sent to the ipad despite the good ‘connection’

See post #2. Garmin can upgrade your headset for a fee. They ran a special on it a year or so ago.
