Bose A20 BT capabilities

So how do hearing aids work when paired to a phone? I know you “pair” to the pair, but do each side have Bluetooth receivers, or does one receive and broadcast to the other? Any way to force this to work on two phones?

Only curious; I don’t listen to music while flying.
 
iPhones after 13 can do what’s called audio sharing to AirPods or Beats headphones, might work with Bose but I have an audio jack on my panel so I never tried it.
