Boeing 727 at KELP El Paso Sold

Why can't they have a 727 or an MD80 for sale by me for $10k
Hopefully the new owners don't have to pay accrued ramp fees from 20 years of being parked there as a derelict!

I’m pretty sure I emptied the crappers on that thing when it passed through MHT every few weeks.

How inconsiderate, leaving it parked on the "runway" according to the article. I guess at least it wasn't on the "tarmac".

If you find one, I’m in.

How much would a "mostly gutted" 727 be worth as scrap?

2 guys and a couple Sawzalls ...

Probably some hazmats and fluids in that thing. Just taking a saw to it isn’t going to work.

The aluminum? Not so much. We had a bunch of donated Navion fuselages and wings in the type society and we couldn't even get anybody to scrap them out of the storage yard they were in for free.
