Bo on the interstate

Not a Bonanza, it’s a Beechcraft Sierra.
Yep. My bad. Heard beechcraft while I was making dinner. Forgot they made other stuff.

Thankfully there are no serious injuries reported. Looks like the plane is done for though ...

Saw this on Beechtalk. Plane never made it above 1500MSL (~700AGL). Not a lot of options in that part of Chicagoland (other than warehouse roofs) - so glad they got it down safely. That plane does look like it hit hard.

The following photos were shot by a friend who was in the area.

That's an A36, unless the Mouse has grown a rear cabin door.

Hit hard enough to shear the gear off the mouse. That had to hurt some.

Sierras had rear passenger doors? Learn something new everyday...

It's a Beech Sierra, not a Musketeer. The gear is retractable and the rear cabin door is on the opposite side from an A36 Bo.

Beech made a 6-place version of the Sierra as an option. The rear door accesses the baggage area, or the rear jump seats, if they are installed.

3 of the 4 passengers are being treated for back injuries, ouch. Glad everyone survived though.
