Block avatar by user?

Just curious ... Is it possible to block avatars on a per-user basis?
I generally enjoy them (even when ScottM goes a little crazy); but there are one or two ... :what:

I can only find a way to either ignore users or turn off display of all avatars.

(I decided a while back to stop frightening people with my avatar image.)
