Can I supply my records to the faa in order to request reconsideration? They didn’t do the asking for them. This is all after my final denial from three years ago. Today is my birthday and I hope Your all doing well.

Was the AME you were working with before helpful? If so, go back to them for a "consultation," not an exam, and ask them if you have a chance.

A lot will depened upon why you were denyed for (no need to tell us here) and if whatever you think has changed in your medical condition will actually convince the FAA to review your denial.

I’m in it for the long haul- I appreciate the feedback. Have a great day too. I may contact him

Never volunteer anything to the FAA. Contact the AME before you do anything else.

You would basically start the entire process over again. Go see an AME, get a consult, and follow their guidance. DON'T SEND ANYTHING TO THE FAA THAT ISN'T EXPRESSLY ASKED FOR!!!

I believe your only approach is to appeal to the ntsb

It's impossible to tell from your post whether you have any chance at all, but I assume you're just trying to learn how to proceed. This is a 3-step process:
1) Contact @bbchien .
2) Describe your situation to him. Be thorough and 100% frank.
3) Do exactly what he tells you, no arguments, no deviations.
If you have a chance at all, this process will get you there. Depending on your circumstances, this may require the expenditure of a great deal of money. Dr Bruce will tell you, but be prepared.

Doc already chimed in. Buti agree he needs to actually look at the file.

Post in thread 'where to go from here.'

With a challenging history of psychosis, depression, general anxiety disorder and delusional disorder - not a chance in hell the NTSB reverses the FAA.

It might not be an accurate diagnosis . The delusional disorder- I have insight into it post episode which may have been more ocd

You will have to prove, to the FAA's satisfaction, based on their criteria and not on normal medical standards, and at your own expense, that the diagnosis was inaccurate. And the FAA doesn't like OCD, either.

That makes sense. im 30 i suppose in the next ten years this will be a major endeavor for me.

Save your money, take up sailing or something that doesn’t involve the FAA.

Unfortunately, disclosing to your ame might be the same as disclosing to the faa… buyer be ware.
There's a difference between sending a pile of paperwork direct to the FAA when they neither expect it nor want it. That's why you go thru the AME.

That's not true **IF** you specifically schedule a "consultation" with the AME.

Your medical information only goes to the FAA when you fill out the Form 8500-8 on MedXPress, go through an actual physical and the AME submits it.

Anyone that has a tricky situation, unless you really know the AME you've been going to, I'd suggest going to one you've never met for the consultation. And I'm no expert in this, but the best course would seem to be to take ALL the paperwork and test results that shows the issue so they get the full picture, then DO NOT leave any copies with that AME. Then once you have a plan from that AME, go through the real process with a different AME.

Actually saw a dr agree to the consult. Said could issue in office, then didn’t. Cost 18 months.

I actually set up the consult talking to his staff and him personally before recommending him.

Lesson learned. Problem, they face no consequences.

The problem lies in them lying… an action that the faa seems not to care about.

In a public forum at Oshkosh this year I specifically asked northrup where we could find metrics so we can hire a good ame. I was asked to sit down with no answer offered.

The key as you mention is not getting cost 18 months. Last application my ame submitted the exam but nothing else- I need my full records which I’m getting and I’m tapering down to just Effexor. I’m trying to follow dr chesanows advice may he rest in peace. He was a great faa chief psychiatrist. Spoke to him on the phone in 2021.

I won’t even attempt consideration with a BD2 diagnosis, especially since a therapist mentioned psychosis as a side note in one entry. That and my meds are “do not issue”

And I grounded myself before that diagnosis, when it was just depression.

I concur with an above post. Take up sailing. I’ve done both sailing and flying and it is just as exhilarating. I’m not sure what the regs say but maybe ultralights are an option?
