Hmm,.. so how do you preflight the plane when it's in the water? I'd imagine sumping tanks could be a fun task

Just outside of the 4th photo, on the right is a recently-installed refueling set-up. Until installment the refueling method(for decades) was via fuel truck.
During winter, the field visible in #4 is covered with floats enjoying(?) a dry-out period.
